Plan Duin wins Almere Coast competition

In collaboration with AMVEST, BVR and Christensen & Co, ZUS won the competition for the Coastal Zone Almere. The masterplan was chosen out of three other combinations and aims for realisation the coming years. The plan is based on a perpendicular dune landscape that enlarges the coastal zone land inwards. On top of the artificial dunes, which incorporate parking facilities and leisure programme, various neighbourhoods are situated. A  new waterfront centre connects Almere with the Markermeer.
