Within a closed competition for a new connection from the Wilhelminapier to Katendrecht in Rotterdam, the entry of ZUS was selected amoung two others. ZUS proposed to transform the bridge into a part of the city fabric, litteraly into a street. The pedestrian and bike connection over the Rijnhaven will be accompanied with five public pillars that house small-scale programmes. The other competitors are Dissing+Weitling Architects and Quist/Winterman Architecten. Check the official website.
