A2 plans revealed

After a long period of silent activity the plans for the A2 tunnel project in Maastricht have been revealed. ZUS, as urban planner and landscape architect, took a leading role in the BA2M team. The proposal is based on a layered tunnel concept, which offers the possibility to create a complete new public domain in between two sparated neighbourhood in Maastricht east. Other competitors were West 8 and KCAP + Rijnboutt Van der Vossen Rijnboutt. In July 2009 the final winner will be chosen.
